- Synopsis: Rippin' Riders is the first snowboarding game for the Sega Dreamcast. Much of the mechanics of the game are derived from the popular series of Cool Boarders titles for the PlayStation. Before the action begins there are seven available riders to choose from. Each rider has numerous boards to choose from as well as different clothing. At the start of the game there is only one playable course. Hidden characters, boards, outfits, and courses will all be exposed through extensive play. In total there are at least 9 characters, 12 boards, and 5 courses. The modes of play include: Match Race, Half Pipe, and Free Race. Match Race is strictly a two-player option that enables split screen competitive play. Free Race is a one-player mode in which you will be pitted against only the dangerous environments of the downhill terrain. In the Half Pipe mode tricks are the focal point.
